OP appears to be having the same problem raised in other threads. For what it's worth, none of the connection troubleshooting helped me solve this issue.
Did you manage to make any solution work? I've been trying everything but seems a lost cause
Same problem here. Cant get it to work. it works on xbox but not on steam-PC
So I still can't play unless I go offline, any hope for a fix? It's quite shameful
How do you know that they're working on it? I have it stuck on that screen for a few * MONTHS now
@ScarDuck14 thanks for the update ScarDuck. It's nice to know they're aware of it and working to fix it. I've had this problem for over two months at this point so it will be nice to get back into the game.

I logged in this morning and this is fixed. Didn’t work from early November to late February then it was fixed out of nowhere. I hope it’s fixed for others as well.
Yea it's been fixed for a couple weeks now, I forgot to update here. Let's hope it lasts!
