Steering wheel centre keeps going out of place

Product: F1 22
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug I have a Logitech G27, and have been playing the game with no issues until this latest update, I have over 200 hours in game time already. The steering wheel centre keeps changing seemingly under braking or when I have a lock-up, then my gear paddles are facing up and down, not on the sides, while that is registering in game as centre, and then after a while my car will pitch hard left or right then I have to unplug the wheel and plug it back in. It corrects itself after this but only for a short time until it happens again, and it's only since the latest update, no other issues in terms of FFB or anything before this.
Which area is the bug/glitch in? My Team
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Use a Logitech G27, load into a race, start racing around, and after a few lock-ups and braking zones etc the wheels centre position changes.
What happens when the bug occurs? My wheel stops functioning as expected and starts to malfunction slowly more and more.
What do you expect to see? A fix so I can keep playing, I have over 200 hours already and just want to start playing again.

  • @Switch_2397 From your description, I am not sure if this is the same, but on my logitech driving force pro (yeah it's old), everything was working well before the patch. Post patch 1.06, while driving, the wheel will lose force feedback for a couple of seconds occasionally when the wheel is centered (down a straight for example). The game then doesn't respond well to the wheel input for those couple of seconds and then suddenly snaps back into force feedback, making the car difficult/impossible to control. Curious if these are related. I need to mess with the FFB settings and see if the "self-aligning torque of the tyres added to the overall calculation" (see EAs deep dive into the patch FFB changes) is what's to blame.
