There's reference to being able to drive them in a mode called something like 'Pirelli Hot Laps', whatever that may be.

What has supercars got to do with F1?
This is just gonna be some way for micro transactions within the game. Forza and GT have supercars.
Not liking the supercar involvement
- Cpayne324 years agoHero+@RicoRoughneck1 It’s because people can buy a package when attending a real life Grand Prix to have a hot lap in a super car which is the feature that has been added for this years game

A surprising amount actually. F1 x Pirelli have had event in which ordinary people can experience driving a supercar on the F1 track during the race weekend, and the F1 22 game is mimicking that

@pawel567He also uploaded a gameplay video (short one) of a supercar at Miami.. Its.. slow.. very slow.. I think even the guys who wanted F3 will feel slow in these cars😂
Also a nice cheeky move to put F1 Life next to the Home menu so players will have to go over it in order to get to modes they really want to play😂
It's just like always having to move off the oversized Braking Point button on the current game, which I've still never actually selected!

I swear I hate this idea. I hope it didn't take away any time from the rest of the game.
Not sure why I would buy a F1 game to race in slower supercars. If I wanted to play with supercars there are tons of other games for that.
I'm just going to skip that mode entirely. It's such a weird direction for the game to take. Why not celebrate F1's history instead with classic cars and tracks? I don't know why this was done, and I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't in next years game.
- Meza9944 years agoSeasoned Ace@Nylink I can guarantee you it took away quite some time. And they had to do something like this otherwise literally everybody would have laughed at them implemented F1 Life only to buy a Rolex..
All we can do is hope that the game critics wont creep up the devs bum as they usually do and give proper criticism on this I also find the concept of bonus slower cars a somewhat strange one but can see the appeal just from a 'something different' angle I guess. I'm sure EA/Codemasters will monitor how much these cars actually get used.
