I swear I hate this idea. I hope it didn't take away any time from the rest of the game.
Not sure why I would buy a F1 game to race in slower supercars. If I wanted to play with supercars there are tons of other games for that.
I'm just going to skip that mode entirely. It's such a weird direction for the game to take. Why not celebrate F1's history instead with classic cars and tracks? I don't know why this was done, and I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't in next years game.
I also find the concept of bonus slower cars a somewhat strange one but can see the appeal just from a 'something different' angle I guess. I'm sure EA/Codemasters will monitor how much these cars actually get used.

Nobody will actually driving with these gt super cars in f1 game. For gt cars we have assetto corsa competizione or iracing. And if they will put there a handling model from need for speed it will be the biggest trash from codies

IRacing is only an option on PC but GT7 is the obvious option on PlayStation and ACC is available on both PS and XSX/S.
