Not gonna comment on the ratings, going by the raw numbers a lot of it is wrong, only Hamilton and Russel pace is correct, Russel faster in quali, Hamilton in race but both not by much, stat editor is the only solution.. Also Vettel is not even performing bad he just has a bad car, completely different story.. In the end all we say doesnt matter, Crofty, Davidson and Jacques have major influence on the ratings so wont change much anyway..
Focus stat should be low after a team change. That would make things much more realistic

@LiavealWhile i generally agree with what you say i dont like the principle of making the worse cars catch up faster by script.. It should be natural, maybe some settings so the player chooses, random, field closing up, whatever remains haha

Like i said in my last reply, instead of boosting the base performance of McLaren, Aston and Williams, make it so the first couple of upgrades give a bigger boost than the other teams so with the same amount of upgrades, theyll be closer to the field. Basically, the faster the base performance of the car, there should eventually be diminishing returns. All cars maxed out should essentially be even but their development paths should be slightly different. (In future games perhaps they should add some random element to what upgrades appear and have them change during regulation changes so that every season, each team has a different R&D tree.
As for driver stats, we'll both be repeating ourselves in agreement with a stat editor. The one thing all of us can agree on is that we cant agree on what stats they should have!
Focus should definitely have a bigger influence than it does and drivers like Vettel and Ricciardo, who we all know are very capable of being a top driver should have much higher base stats but have low focus by default so they dont perform at their best until their focus is sorted. Having Vettel at 83, Ricciardo at 80 and Hulk at 81 is really bad right now.

I agree that all cars should have same potential, in one of my regulation change suggestions i had a system that would rate all cars on the same scale of upgrades, for all areas so that Merc would have the most upgrades for downforce but bad upgrades for mechanical grip (thats how it behaves IRL) which would make them have fewer and more expensive upgrades left for downforce but can upgrade a lot on the mechanical grip.. For Backmarkers almost all upgrades would be cheap compared to what the front runners have to pay -> backmarkers can do more upgrades. This would be the most natural and could be influenced by AI training (do most upgrades possible, balanced, few upgrades)..
Really doubt this will happen and i dont like the idea of R&D trees.. It forces you to do certain upgrades say weight distribution to improve your brakes which is super unrealistic.. And i cant imagine this ever being implemented as more possibilities of upgrade combinations need more AI training from my understanding..
Yes editor lol but i really dont know why you think Vettel would be underperforming currently when he was performing on top level the past weekends😂 But this doesnt matter, stats will always be a joke and completely biased as from what it looks like by the article from TheRace its (mostly) not even Codemasters doing the stats so we can complain all we want, Crofty and all who do the stats dont care anyway.. Best examples of not caring or not being competent are the experience ratings when drivers with 68 races got a higher experience rating than drivers with 98 races. I mean these numbers are very easy yet they get it wrong, so i wouldnt expect the ratings to majorly improve- Liaveal3 years agoRising Veteran

Like one front and rear down force upgrade before they go back to regular sized. McLaren with slightly bigger upgrades would put them to where they are in real life after a few races rather than still at the back. If course just buffing the base performance is easier and probably what they will do with the performance update. I'm just of the opinion they should be at Bahrain performance and that the updates could be down via the upgrades instead.
I think you're misunderstanding what I think about Vettel's stats. I think his pace should be around 91 or 92 but a default orange focus so Stroll is a bit closer to him at first. Hes performing well but hes still not at his very best at the moment. Although the last couple of weekends are a great sign. His 83 pace is a terrible stat and I cant understand where they got that number from. The focus stat should be better used.
For Ricciardo, I think he should have up to 90 pace but start in red focus so he'll perform more around 82 at first. Lewis should still have 97 pace but start in orange. Zhou should be around 78 pace, again orange focus.
Yeah, the experience stat does make no sense. Gasly being lower than Norris like you say.. although honestly the experience stat adds so little it's not as big an issue as the pace stat.
