Agree with everythig said so far, this isnt acceptable by any strech of the imagination and no actual explanation has been provided.
I want to see where it is ok in the terms and conditions that it is acceptable to just turn off a feature of the game so soon and make it so 100% completion can never be achieved? In additon I think we should be taking this further to the gaming press as it is simply unacceptable to treat consumers like this, especially as we have pointed out many times now that this game is still being actively sold on all store fronts and being used to entice people in to EA play subscriptions.
If the game is not actively going to be fixed then thats fine but it now needs to be removed from sale because a broken and incomplete product / service is currently being provided.
Surely this needs calling out in a press article because I am sure this is not the only game with this issue, while I am sure a lot of players don't actually care because they are not out to obtain all of the trophies / achievements I dont think it is it fair that an achievement / trophy is not being considereed an important aspect of the game here. I would argue it is seeing as it is not possible for EA to even put a game on the Sony Playstation store in the first place unless it has them in place and complies with this requirement!
Therefore they should be maintainted and achieveable as long as the game is being actively sold on that store front! And i am willing to bet that this could be argued legally, but almost certainly ethically as EA are not doing themselves any favours here.
They for one have already lost a customer as I have cancelled my subscription and will not be making any further purchases of any new F1 games in the future despite me being an avid F1 fan and a gamer.
