What has EA done now?

To @jenny_a_m and all other EA staff,

unfortunately, I have very bad news about F1 22, and I want you to stick around and read this thoroughly, okay?

As you know, I love the Supercars, as well as the Pirelli Hotlaps. But sadly, I recently ran into something very game-breaking.

I played the Checkpoint Challenge in France yesterday, and while I thought I was doing well, I could not reach the Gold target in several attempts on Challenging difficulty, which was very strange considering I always enjoyed the Checkpoint Challenges.

Since I played Career Mode by the time I noticed that, I thought I'll try again on Hard in the actual Pirelli Hotlaps Mode. And guess what - I did reach the 9000m needed for Gold on Challenging, but didn't even get to Silver on Hard, and this after a couple hundred attempts.

I checked one of my previous runs of the same challenge, and I got 10000+ meters on that run.

Looking at both runs at the same time (I used ShareFactory Studio to do that), I noticed that since the patch 1.15, the checkpoints are far more spread out than previously, which not only is a horrible game-breaking error, but it makes EVERY single Checkpoint Challenge on Hard difficulty unbeatable, as you don't have enough time to go the distance you need without cutting many turns just to reach one checkpoint in time. And cutting too many corners will disqualify you from the entire run.

I would like to provide video proof to show you guys that I'm not joking, but not only does this not work in this forum, but apparently, the EA e-mail support will not answer any questions regarding games, so I don't know what to do.

Until I know where to send in video proof of game-breaking occurrences or the problem will be taken care of for the next update, I am going to skip every Checkpoint Challenge.

Speaking of which, there are a few Pirelli Hotlap Challenges in Career Mode that only give 100 acclaim if you complete them on Gold instead of the usual 1000. One of them being Time Attack in Austria with the Ferrari F8 Tributo. And I think there's one or two more, but I don't remember where exactly.

Anyway, I hope you read this from start to finish and noted it down, because like I said, it ruins the entire fun with Pirelli Hotlaps.

I should mention that all the other challenge types work properly. Only the Checkpoint Challenges are impossible to beat since the update.

anf if you look through my post history. You will find many many many many posts where I’m very very very very helpful. That’s why EA approached me to be your champion. Funny enough

To offer some insight into the exchange of a few members here, quite a number of users originate from the practically defunct Codemasters forum. Like myself and Duck, Nico is one of them, and like on the old site, he is quite partial to offering his opinions on the state of the game, Max Verstappen, Hamilton and other topics which we have all debated over and over again. We all know Nico, so any familiarity in that Champion post is due to that; familiarity.

@dancrodriguesSame. It's just full of bots now that it's been abandoned by the overlords. I was starting to feel at home here but I think we have a long way to go if we have users thinking interactions between two active members that know each other, aren't very positive...

@TotosHeadphonesI miss the most discussing real life F1, like the discussion we had over this last silly season. It's awesome to get to know how the same news is approached by people in other countries.

I tried something similar here but... you know... there were more pressing matters to care for like the Haas rim color, absence of leaves in Monza, the fishy-fishy helmet... Jesus lord.

When I fist started posting over at cm it wasn’t much different tbh. As I don’t do social media. The cm forum was my only public forum I used. Was disappointed that so many people would be so abusive. Would they talk to someone like that face to face? Ofcourse not. Luckily a cm has a few awesome members that were friendly. And would start to chit chat:.. one guy would always take posts off topic chatting nonsense. 😇But fun nonsense that got more friendly people to reply and slowly but surety real friendships have grown whilst the forum became a better engaging place. Where all toxic elitests posters were called out by decent well mannered members.

If you’ve got nothing nice to say don’t say nothing.

You see @Trekari you may think I’m not a worthy champion. You maybe right. But I know and the people that know me know I’m always friendly and if I can. I always help anyone that asks.
