Re: Old players ending their career asking for contract extension

@Nightbeat_BE This has been an ongoing issue with FIFA since at least 21, and now carries over to EA FC. When starting a new career mode save, the first task I conduct after reviewing the board objectives for unattainable goals, is verify all older players (33 or older) have the ability to be sold, traded, or released to avoid this bug. Generally, a retiring player will demand a contract extension within the first three months, and then subsequently submit a transfer request. Because this circumstance occurs early in the season, the board will substantially reduce your manager rating progressively throughout the remainder of the season. I have had instances where all objectives were completed, but ended with a rating of 71 because of two retiring players submitting transfer requests. On a new save navigate to the squad menu, click over to the financial tab, and sort the column of players by age. Then individually click each player who is 33 years or older and verify all three columns of choices are available. In many careers a number of players, even 37-40 year olds, will have all options, however, one or two others are scheduled to retire from the beginning. In many cases, I have to delete and restart a career up to ten times to obtain a save where no players are set to retire from the onset. What I do after initiating a proper start is attempt to sell or trade all older players in the first transfer window. Any remainders left in the squad once the window closes are released to avoid the issue.
