Re: Player Career cant renew contract

All I can do is beg I’m on my knees EA I love this game but it’s been going downhill for a decade and I just want the simple features that were promised to work

OK, so I managed to get my contract renewed yesterday. I got all the mandatory and optional objectives, but deliberately chose a mid-range salary, not the top one. I wonder if exceeding objectives - and the club then offers all the extras on top of the max salary - makes it so the club can’t afford you. Perhaps the max salary slider is literally the max you can get, and the extras take you over that. 

So that’s my suggestion to get renewed. Select a low or mid salary to negotiate with your current club. You’ll need to do this in March before the contracts get locked down for negotiation.

They must state that the club can't afford or any form of communication that the finances are low. During negotiations they should say its too much. That's the whole point of negotiations. 

Honestly, I don't get it why we can negotiate contracts in Manager Mode but not in Player Career. EA, give us a similar system to the contract negotiations in Manager Career, this would stop issues like that and make it all easier.

You think that this is the January Patch?

I'm not sure as they don't list the Career Modes as a Online Service. Normally when a Patch Update is incoming for all their modes they usually state all the modes they're updating. If this maintenance isn't for the Career Modes, you can expect it'll be the next one they do.

Does anybody know when the update for career mode might come out? I’m stuck at the end of season, I met all the objectives and I can’t stay which is unfortunate.

I think it could be next week. Most of the EA games have had maintenance or Patch Update releases this week, it’s only a matter of time before EA FC 24 release their game updates. After no Career Mode fixes for over 2 months, and judging by the EA message posted in this chat a couple of weeks ago, I’m optimistic this issue could be resolved in the next update.

anyone know if they gonna add the third kit of a bunch of team like PSG, BARCA, CHELSEA… because if you start your career before the update of the third kit, they don’t show up…

Wait George, if the career mode contract renegotiation update comes in this January patch, do you think that the patch would only work for career modes created AFTER the patch happened, or do you think that it would be for all career modes, even the ones before the patch happened?

Hey @RandomSmart, I think this fix should resolve issues affecting both Player Careers started before and after the next update, as I think EA would want to completely resolve the issue instead of partially resolving it by only fixing it for careers started after the update.

It would be unfair for players to make them have to restart their entire careers, where they've spent a lot of time getting through several seasons, just to get an option to renew their contract - which should've been available at launch.

The update should be coming within the next week or so, so lets wait and see.
