Re: Player Career cant renew contract

New patch is on next gens and nothing changed -,-

If I'm honest I sort of expected this. After speaking to them personally, it'll be interesting to see if a fix is made in the next one.

This is interesting. 'Stay in the Club' appears to be a new button, as the only previous button that I had seen that you could press so that you could stay at your club was 'Renew Contract'.

Does anyone else have this option?

The bug hasn't been fixed unless maybe I haven't received the update. Its still forcing me to leave my club

Which season are you in and when did you start the career?

I am in my 6th season and i started the career in December 

@GeorgeSS24 I just checked my original career and I am still unable to resign with my club.

@LWF1017 Usually the resigning option works for a few seasons, but that is interesting because like George said, the button name was different than what it usually is..

I went back in my Player Career Mode to see if I had this button. I still only had the option to change club.

My fear about restarting you career is that even if you complete all objectives, like some people who have posted screenshots on here, you still may not have the option to stay at your club, or worse have no options at all.

Best to keep the save of your original Player Career in case you choose to start a new one, and this happens.

First of all sorry for my english, but I think I find a method go to the next season without change the team and hopefully help you.

My steps:

1. Striker at Rapid Bucuresti (Romania) - season 2 overall (second season at Rapid and on first season I was at Salford CIty, Leaguea 4 in England).

2. I have same issue as many of yours - I mean I have al mandatory objective accomplished but one the optional objective is not achieved - So ... At the end of the season don't appear the button "Renew the contract" (check first image).

3. Lucky1 me/us - there is an autosave.

4. My last match was on 10 Juni (doesn't matter).

5. Go Advance, BUT Between 25 and 29 JUNI you must Stop the sim

6. Here is the tricky one 🙂) Go to customise and select another role (the one who accomplished all objective). Lucky2: For my case was a central defender who achieved all objective (mandatory + optional).

7. At the end of the season the button "Renew the contract" appear :D - check the second image.

8. So now, I am starting 3th season overall and 2nd season at Rapid Bucuresti.

PS. Yesterday my head encountered same problem and I was searching a method for 24 hours, I have a headache but I'm happy I resolve 🙂) Hope you find this useful 🙂

I requested minimum wage, did the mandatory objectives and still didn’t get to renew. Even with the club offering me the maximum wage.

So I've been playing for a whole season for nothing xD Cant go any further, game just doesnt allow me. Thanks EA

Hey Everyone, just seen the upcoming updates in Patch 10, and unlike the last two there's not a single update to Career Mode.

I personally think, considering this has been a longstanding issue, and it being only a few months away until the end of the season, it's most likely now this issue isn't going to be resolved in this edition, which is disappointing.

It was first thought the issue only affected those who didn't achieve all their 'Optional Objectives', however recently it's been proven it even affects players who complete all objectives!

This is the first EA Football game I've purchased in years, and it'll probably be the last. This is the single biggest issue with the mode that'll affect every single player, and the fact that it hasn't been resolved since it was first discovered at launch, especially after "the issues have been identified", is deeply concerning. 

Currently, I don't understand what the purpose of EA Answers is. For Career Mode, the most reported issue for months isn't the one being addressed - as we were told, nor are we receiving updates on the issue. I took it upon myself to search for Career Mode Team Members online, then email them, then hope they respond, just so we can get a response.

All we are asking for is just a single button, that already exists in the game, to be made available for everyone who achieves their Mandatory Objectives or receives the same or higher wage, that allows us to 'Renew our Contract'. It's not much...

I understand resources and budgets are spread across all modes, and I accept that Ultimate Team gets the most attention as the games USP, and rightly so. That being said, if this truly is "The World's Game", please give Player Career a single update and fix this issue. Its not much...

I've always been a huge fan of Career Mode, both Player and Manager. I've always loved the authenticity of playing as yourself in your favourite team, or managing your favourite team. It's a shame to see how little attention its received this year. I hope this changes for "The World's Game's" sake.

EA have released their new Player Feedback Portal Beta for EA Sports FC 24 that "makes it easy for you to directly share your feedback with us". Link is below.

In the portal, you can select various aspects of the game to give feedback on. To report the 'Player Career - Can't Renew Contract', select Career Mode, then Player Career and then 'Off-Pitch Activities' or 'Other'. In the next screen, select the second feedback option to report a current issue, and then write your feedback.

Please try and refrain from any hate or bad language as its uncalled for. I know its frustrating how long these issues have been left unresolved, however its more likely these messages will be ignored if such language is used. Be as passionate for the mode and the issue as you want, within reason, and as descriptive as you can be.

This is our chance to further press them into resolving the most troubling issues sooner. The more that do it, the more likely they'll pick it up.
