@Longlijer69Ah okay. Let me know if the issue arises at the end of your second season, and I'll follow it up.
I'm not sure, but it's works now because of the length of the contract that is offered to you when you sing to a new club. Before the issue was fixed, every new signing has 1 year of contract length, now I saw that the length has extended to 2 years and I'm not sure, but I think it will work for one season and at the end of the second season at the same club it may show the same issue. I hope it's not, but on PC I solved this issue with the FC editor by adding one year to the contract length. Please, guys who ended the second season reply to this and tell us if it's right or not.
I've started my player career at Inter Miami, finished the first season and went to Antwerpen, finished the second season and went to Leverkusen. No problems for me yet :D
After being able to renew my contract again I was able to renew that and then now I’ve reached the end of the season and they’re offering a renewal for the next season too now. 👍🏻
Started a new season, played the final euro play off game and now can’t start a new season. Cant pick any team available from agent, I’ve reloaded loads of time but with no luck. I have tried going back to the save before the final game and changed team but still having the same issue, just wasted my time playing one season and can’t even progress. Even when I changed teams it’s given me the option to renew contract and every time I do that the game crashes. Honestly think it’s ridiculous that people have had this issue since September and it’s still ongoing. Not paying for the next one if EA are behind it.
Hey @Vendy09, could you upload some screenshots of your contract screen, and when the game crashes? I'm currently talking to my contact in the Career Mode team, and they would like as much information as possible so they can start an investigation.

Stopped playing player mode since Christmas,just checked this thread and saw that it was fixed. Tried my saved game and it actually allowed me the option to stay at the club now. Good this has finally been fixed

According to my contact in the Career Mode Team, they have now re-set the contract system so that you can now renew your contract in two different ways.
- If you only achieve all your Mandatory Objectives, but not all the Optional Objectives, you will only get the option to renew your contract for the same wage you had at the start of the season.
- If you achieve all Mandatory and Optional Objectives, you will not only get the option to renew your contract but receive either your requested wage or more depending on how well you do with your objectives.
If you do go forward with your Player Career, and it still doesn't work for you, please report back with a screenshot so I can send it over to the Career Mode Team.
Hey @montez_1001 Since the fix a couple of weeks ago, I’ve since been able to renew my contract at the end of my second season, and then again at the end of my third. As long as I complete my Mandatory Objectives now at a minimum, I’ve been able to renew.
So basically all I have to do is update my game and it fixes it right? I’m playing on a ps5 but my game isn’t update yet
Hi @kingloy22 The fix, which allows players to renew their contract as normal, was made in the Spring Update. If you've updated the game to the latest version and you still can't renew your contract, upload a screenshot of your contract screen so I can forward it to my contact in the Career Mode Team.
Hey @GeorgeSS24 just updated my game, hopping the issue was fixed, but i still have the same problem. I've finished my first season and then when I try to "End Season" I can't do anything, I can't stay in the same team nor change to other team. I can't even go back, once I enter the "End Season" screen. Since some players got the issue fixed, I'm trying my luck. Thanks.

Let me explain my experience, before this bug i had created 2 career modes, which none of them had issues, then i created a third one and had that issue. All of this was before the update, when i first saw the issue was nearly 3-4 days before the update. Then i updated the game and the problem was still there.
I cannot be transferred to any team after the end of the season. No buttons appear. I couldn't fix it no matter what I did. I'm in the 3rd season, please don't let my career go to waste.

I am sending you 1 photo, but the contract renewal button does not appear. While trying to solve this, I discovered another problem. If I press the option to renew the contract or transfer, this time it kicks me out of the game. :D Seriously, this game is trying to drive me crazy.
When I try to move to another team or renew my contract at the end of the season, it kicks me out of the game after the 'new beginnings' text. I tried this 5 times and it kicked me out every time. So I got angry and started a new career. I'm currently in the first season and if he gets kicked out while signing a contract, I don't plan on playing again. Thank you :D
