Manager Career Mode: Custom Manager Tie Accessory Option Broken

After Title Update 5 when starting a new Manager Career mode save and choosing the older caucasian male at the far right of the generic templates (blue suit, white buttoned dress shirt, and red tie), the tie accessory option is glitched. Similar to the player glove option problem; once removed while editing the player and saving, the gloves appear again, regardless of changing the manager shirt, selecting a different color tie, or removing the tie completely and saving, the default red tie option materializes, and is unable to be changed or removed.

Image below depicts the manager with a white tee shirt undershirt option. Whenever this option is selected with any other generic or real manager, the tie, by default, vanishes.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? During the second half of matches in Manager Career mode, when I attempt to make changes or substitutes, the game freezes completely. I am unable to finalize the substitutes or return to the match, leaving the game unresponsive. The only way to proceed is to close the game entirely, which unfortunately means losing unsaved progress.

    Dear EA Support Team,

I am encountering two technical issues while playing FC 25 on my PS4, and I hope you can assist me in resolving them.

    1. Manager Career Freezing Issue:
During the second half of matches in Manager Career mode, when I attempt to make changes or substitutes, the game freezes completely. I am unable to finalize the substitutes or return to the match, leaving the game unresponsive. The only way to proceed is to close the game entirely, which unfortunately means losing unsaved progress.

    2. Coach/Manager Outfit Customization Issue:
When customizing the coach/manager's outfit, the red tie remains visible no matter what clothing option I select, whether it’s a shirt or a polo. The tie does not seem to update or disappear as it should.

Both issues significantly affect my experience with the game, and I would appreciate it if you could provide a solution or let me know if a patch is in development to address these bugs.

Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Claudiumedia

@Claudiumedia Thank you. Just to make sure, do you also experience this issue when starting a different career save?

Reported this issue over a month ago with screen capture.

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Manager-Career-Mode-Custom-Manager-Tie-Accessory-Option-Broken/m-p/14276752#M17054

Issue appears to be connected to the new tie accessory options in Manager Career mode. When starting a new save, and selecting either the male Asian or Indian male generic characters, three new tie options are shown; black and gray diagonal striped, black and multi-colored paisley, and the default black tie labeled with unreadable description text and faulty image. The first time when attempting to modify the manager clothing, and advancing to tie accessory options, the game freezes, and crashes to console dashboard. Reentering the game and back to modifying the manager, there are twenty tie options. The user has only one chance to select either of the two new ties, and if selected and saved, will continue to appear, however, going back in a second time, the new tie options vanish, and the accessory option listing displays only seventeen choices; two new ties, and glitched black tie gone.

Note, only by selecting the two minority generic managers mentioned above will initiate the tie glitch; selecting any other male character will omit the option for the two new ties, and the red tie issue described in this post, always happens when using the older white male character on the far right, wearing a blue suit, white buttoned dress shirt, and default red tie.

This described red tie glitch began appearing after Title Update 4, and has continued since in every new career mode save when a generic male manager is selected at the start; unsure if occurs when a real manager, or generic female manager is chosen.

For reference, this issue is confirmed on Xbox Series X/S platforms, unaware of similar problems on PlayStation or PC versions.

  • Dear EA Support Team,

Thank you for your prompt response. Regarding your question, I have not started a different career save to test if the issue persists. However, I believe it’s not my responsibility as a player to troubleshoot potential bugs in the game.

I purchased FC 25 with the expectation of enjoying a fully functional experience, and it is frustrating to encounter such issues that disrupt gameplay. I trust that your team will investigate and address these problems so that I can play the game I paid for without interruptions or technical glitches.

Please let me know the next steps or if further details from my end are required to support the resolution process.

    Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you all. I'll pass on all the details to the game teams for further investigation. I also merged those similar threads together for tracking.
