This happens to me regularly. Just now again. You score a goal, want to skip the goal and the game crashes.
Of course, it will be scored with 0 points and is damn annoying, because, you can already forget about higher rewards.
With only 12 games, more than annoying.
I’ve had the exact same thing happen dozens of times. Made me so mad I wanted to throw the controller at the TV. Cost me so many points and Gold 1 vs Elite etc.
A few days ago I stumbled upon a recommendation to boot in safe mode (I’m on a PS5)…and then clear the cache. For me it worked and no crashes in the last few days. Might be worth a try if you are on a PS5. Others have said to reinstall the game. Good luck and sorry as I know how frustrating this is.
Exactly the same problem. First match crashed (I believe after a sub) and at the end, I was short 60 something points to hit ELITE. Very, very frustrating.
I know asking for compensation is pointless and I know the rewards between Gold 1 and Elite 3 are almost identical so it doesn't matter much, but...
ffs: fix your game. No other game I'm playing atm crashes so much as this one...

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Seems to happen during squad battles after scoring a goal. Randomly happens, no set amount of goals etc. Go back into game and you don’t get a loss it shows as a 0-0 score with zero points on beginner regardless of difficulty you played Happened many times before but hadn’t occurred for a few weeks, so clearly this new update has gone back on something and done it from previous fix
What happens when the bug occurs? Game completely closes down and Xbox goes to home screen
What should be happening instead? It shouldn’t be crashing (really stupid question)
As per description, this new update has brought back squad battle games crashing for no reason
