Subject: Serious Concern: Unrealistic Player Decline Despite Top Performance – EAFC25 Career Mode
Dear EA Sports Team,
I hope this message reaches you well.
I’m writing to express serious concern regarding the regression system for older players in Career Mode in EA Sports FC 25. In my current career save, Robert Lewandowski, at age 35, scored 50 goals and registered 10 assists across all competitions in a single season. He led FC Barcelona to win La Liga and reach the Champions League final.
Despite this extraordinary season—one of the best ever seen from a striker—his overall rating dropped from 89 to 87, solely because of his age.
This feels deeply unrealistic and frustrating. Real-world examples like Karim Benzema (Ballon d’Or winner at 34) and Lewandowski himself prove that top-level players can maintain or even improve their level well into their mid-30s. In fact, in real football, great performance often overrides age as a measure of value.
The current Career Mode system appears to disregard performance entirely in favor of an arbitrary age-based decline. This not only breaks immersion but also punishes players who manage their squads well and get incredible results from experienced players.
Suggestion: Please consider introducing a more dynamic progression system based on form, match ratings, goals/assists, and trophies won, instead of automatic regression after a certain age. Career Mode would be significantly more rewarding and realistic if top-performing players could maintain or even slightly improve their overall, regardless of age.
Thank you for your time and for continuing to support the FIFA/FC community.
Sincerely,
