It's so sad to see so many people ruining the best new feature added to the game in YEARS... This community is so toxic, always complaining about the game but as soon as an exploit appears such a big part of the community feels the need to abuse it.
I don't think the button press is a good solution because sometimes if you are one that likes to sit back defend while your brainless team mates all rush the net, then you might not touch the ball much... but a simple heatmap that detects if the player hasn't moved more than a certain amount of "units" would solve it... This should be treated the same way as a temporary Gameplay ban or SBC ban going from 1h to a few hours if multiple offenses... it needs to be harsh... you know... if you want to cheat the system and "save time" take this 3h gameplay ban instead

Genuinely can’t tell who’s to blame. Ea or the community. Companies like 2k have modes similar with the nba series and they don’t get 5% of the toxicity we see with fc25.
ea have added so many things over the last few years that allow people to just afk or rubber band.
personally rush should have been made like proper 5 a side, walks around the pitch etc. they had similar in fifa 96/97(?) (yes I’m that old) and it was awesome. There’s also no need for celebrations in this mode, just cut to a restart and go. Make the points based off all the stats such as passing, shots, tackles. Like squad battles you need to do more to get maximum points. Your match score out of 10 is your multiplier. Get a 10 and keep your points, get a 6.2 and you get 0.62 * your points. You play afk and you ain’t getting the points to make it worth just sitting there. No passes, shots, tackles and then lose 40% of points because sat there and whilst it may not end all afk players it would cut it down at least. This is my thoughts off the top of my head so I can’t see how people probably paid hundreds of thousands from ea can’t think of anything better than we have now, especially with months to think about it.
come on ea….DO BETTER

EA, I need to express a growing frustration with Rush Mode in FIFA 25. The frequency of AFK players is absurd, and the problem is clear: most of these players are using Rush Mode solely to level up, with no intention of actually playing. This is turning the mode into a frustrating experience for those of us who genuinely want to compete and enjoy the game.
Today, I joined a match with 3 AFK leveling players. It was "so much fun" playing a 1v4 and getting goals scored on us repeatedly. There’s no way this hasn’t been noticed yet, as it happens in nearly every match! It's urgent to remove leveling players from Rush Mode or take some action to curb this practice. Without these changes, the gameplay experience will only continue to deteriorate.
I hope something is done to preserve the quality and enjoyment that Rush Mode should offer. If nothing is done, the game is finished.

I have to agree, the rush mode is so much fun but the amount of players who are off pitch all game is disgusting. There’s no reason for a player to spend over 5-10% of their time off the pitch therefore it should be easy to implement a system that either detects this or produces a warning at least first, very similarly to the AFK warning in normal games.
its ruining the experience.
