Amazed at how easy it is for poor players to defend now

I find it to be the opposite. I would be surprised if you had any games go 0-0 since defense is so hard.

You are correct in that everyone just fast breaks on the counter with 1-2 easy passes and scores. After they made passing to easy and pace to important defense can’t keep up. That’s why everyone keeps 6 back to take on 4 attackers in 4213. 

I think the easy offense is what keeps bad players in the game. That counter attacking is because of easy offense not easy defense. We need defense buffed to stop it but high scoring games is what people want. Not realistic 0-0 games.
