Black box when I click left stick

Hello,

Everytime I am in game and I click the left stick in a black box appears on my screen and I am unable to move. Not only is this annoying visually, but I am unable to player lock, and there are big chances that I miss because I accidentally click L3 and the black box appears and my player stops moving. If I click L3 again the box disappears and I am back to normal, but it has been very annoying and hard to play at a high level.
