Can we have fluent game play in EA FC25?

I’ve had some brilliant gameplay since Friday night. Played a load of squad battle games after my 13 to do some EVOs and objectives. Players were fast, responsive, moved as they should, dribbling great etc. 

Played the 94 repeatable team on professional this morning just to get a last EVO completer and again the gameplay was brilliant. 

I then go straight on to play the bronze team on legendary. My gameplay changed completely. My team slow, losing every tackle, not making runs, can’t dribble, not being able to get free in the box - having to hurt my hands to wrestle my players to do anything. Won 5-4 but that should be a 6 or 7 nil game to me at least. 

The game is capable of feeling right but for whatever reason, looks like a deliberate slowing of my team by the game, it is just too hared work to enjoy it properly. I should be able to use my players in line with their ability. I’m getting nowhere near it when the points scoring starts.
