cant buy players

When i am in the transfer market and hold down x on my dualshock 4 controller on "buy player" the bar goes up, and then it asks me if im sure that i want to buy the player. I press yes but nothing happens, then i hold down on buy player again and the same procedure repeats. I am unable to buy or bid on players, please answer asap.
