Controller inputs not working only in Rivals. PC STEAM

My controller does not work in Div Rivals but it works in squad battles and career mode. I Have tried to fix it by seeing if steam input was enabled and then disabling it, didn't do anything. I have ...

Ok so just tried playin with a mate online but it still doesn't register my inputs. It registers my passes my nothing else. Please help, I don't want to have to fork out 80 odd quid for a new controller.

@Migg_Von_Dunelm I tried to use DS4 but the game would not run whilst it was running so im back at square one. I don't want to have to spend like 50-80 quid on a controller when i already own one.

    It’s the same on PlayStation 5 player delay and and freezing in rush and clubs even does it in player career mode too my player runs off in different directions when I’m not even controlling him and runs off the pitch aswell
