Didnt get awin for opponent leaving on penlties

Was playing the Fantasy FC League and we were 5-5 heading into penalties after extra time, my opponent quit before a penalty was took and then the game just didnt count. I though recently they dded into the game that if an opponent left after HT when the game was a draw you would recieve the win? am i wrong or
