does linking ea account to xbox account lose progress?

I have been playing ultimate team logged into my ea account that was not linked to my xbox account. After connecting the accounts all progress is gone. My xbox had previously been linked to another ea account that I was unable to sign into so when playing the game I would enter the new ea account every time. Even though i was logging into a different account would all of the progress gone under the account that I was not able to sign in to?

Hey @DaddyDzl12v Unfortunately, if you unlink your platform account from your EA account and then link it with another EA profile, your account progress will be lost.

After re-linking my EA account to PS with another email, I lost all my progress on Ultimate Team. What can I do to recover? I can't re-link untill half a year later.

so even though I was signed in to a different account all the progress went under the account that was not signed in?

It's not possible to play Ultimate Team or any online game mode if your accounts are not linked. This means that your Xbox account was previously linked to a different EA account.
