Driven through pass

I often use R1+L1+triangle for through passing . 

But in some cases this pass instead of remaining on the ground goes as lobbed pass with some more speed. 

This pass makes no sense (lobbed one) . I am always trying to do the ground passing through ball when i use this mentioned combination. 

Any idea what i am missing ? 

When i am testing in the arena , it always work as intended. But in the oficial games is like my players tryin' to sabotage me and send a lobbed pass.
