With 40 available matches a casual player playing all 40 games on professional or semi-pro would probably be capable of achieving the same rank as a more skilled player who only plays a handful of games on legendary or ultimate. Which in my opinion is a completely fair and casual way of handling the game mode. If the more skilled player wants the rewards then they're free to play all 40 games at whatever difficulty they choose.
Making it only count 12 games for the weekly ranking makes it far too difficult and pointless for the pro and semi-pro players to even try and place higher. It cuts the casual aspect and now you once again need the best of everything for rewards.
Comfortable and enjoyable for me and you wont be for someone else and it isn't even really for me. It turns my hobby into something I now hate and want to see change before I end up getting it on sale later or next year.
Can you not read I do find it enjoyable and the gameplay is good.if you don't suggest you are playing the wrong game.

Ea have also made the ai easy to play against compared to previous years. Well done EA you have turned sb from a boring slog into an enjoyable game mode. Keep it up 🙂. Won't be coming back to this chat so bye everyone
- lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran@rockiestroad I can tell you find it enjoyable. You seem the type, Not everyone is you and enjoys playing the way you do.
I'm not playing this game but would like it to be improved so I can go back to doing so.
If you enjoy it that is good for you but there are clearly other people who dislike the change including myself and would like to see it reverted. If you want to play for better rewards I suggest you play more rivals, champs or even a draft. - 5 months ago
I can tell you don't find it enjoyable you clearly seem like the type. Not everyone is like you and can't play the game. I don't do it for the rewards just enjoy it the way it is. There are clearly people who like the change and wouldn't like to see it reverted. If you want better rewards I suggest YOU play rivals, champs or even a draft.

And if you not one of those who just plays to get rewards instead of the fun of it then you get can endless games and refresh the opponents. You are not limited to 14 games

@rockiestroadI don't know why you're under the assumption I'm a bad player just because I'd like the games increased. I did play the other modes quite regularly on fc24. If I wanted to I would average rank 2 or 3 on champs if I stayed up and played at midnight to have responsive gameplay.
I would just like them to revert it because it turned the only way for casuals to get decent rewards on FUT into another competitive grind.
If you have the skill you presume to have then 40 matches doesn't really affect you. I would still have no issue getting elite in squad battles if I had the game but I do not want to play competitive or harder AI just to do so on a casual mode. - RadioShaqs5 months agoHero@lansenyl 40 games would affect someone with skill more. That’s why people liked 40 because it takes the skill out of it. It’s more about how many games you play.
A pro in the old system who could only play 12 would get less rewards then someone who was not as good playing 40.
It’s fine if you like it either way but 40 isn’t so much casual but helps players not so good. A casual can be good or bad but not have time to play 40 games. You are more than casual putting in more than 2 games a day. - lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran
@RadioShaqsand 12 games makes it far too competitive for what you will probably receive. No one was obligated to play all 40 matches but now we have to make sure we play 12 matches on the hardest difficulty that we can manage.
Most casual players play a lot more than 2 games aren't getting any rewards from champs and probably get very low rewards from rivals so 40 games of squad battles was enough to keep those players busy and they got to work towards and extra rewards.
The old system rewarded play time. This one only rewards skill and relies on RNG for the ai squad and tactics. How is that any better than before? - lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran
If ea's reason for reducing the game limit was to get more skilled players to engage in the casual mode than that makes no sense because it might just push more casual players away from a game that already doesn't look very fun and inviting when you read reviews or watch unsponsored gameplay.
- RadioShaqs5 months agoHero@lansenyl You think casuals are bad. I think they just don’t have time. I think it’s easier for casual to play 12 games at a higher difficulty than playing 40 at a lower one.
- lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran
I'm not saying anyone is "bad" when it comes to the AI so don't go there.
I'm saying people have different skill and tolerance levels when it comes to this game and the old format just makes more sense as a casual mode.
Unless there is an actual argument that can be provided in retort to not only my opinion but obviously the op's and others on the forum.
40 games is better and should be brought back because the current 12 game format is more completive.
To the decision maker: If 40 still seems like a lot then maybe 30 games in order to be ranked? find a sweet spot that works for everyone.

i think the IA is hard to manage this year
- RadioShaqs5 months agoHero@lansenyl You are definitely saying casuals are bad or otherwise you wouldn’t need 40 games to get rewards better than good players.
If it wasn’t about skill and you played at the same level why not play 12. What is the benefit of 40?
If 12 isn’t enough do 20 not 30. - 5 months ago
@lansenyl exactly a casual players is less likely to play more games - increasing the games makes it more of a grind
- 5 months ago
@lansenyl the whole point of ranks in something is to separate the different levels of players
- RadioShaqs5 months agoHero@rockiestroad Surely this is right. I can’t believe people try to say it’s hardcore to play 12 games and more casual to play 40. If anything casuals didn’t play 40 games last year and why hardcore players could get better rewards.
- lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran@RadioShaqs CASUAL PLAYERS ARE NOT THE SAME AS PLAYERS WHO SWEAT AND MAKE RIVALS AND CHAMPS UNPLAYABLE.
Some people would like to play more than 12 games a week and be rewarded for each of those matches. You are NOT obligated to play all 40 games or squad battles at all.
You people keep looking at the time someone will be on the game and that isn't really relevant because not everyone wants to play all 40 in one or 2 sittings.
This was a mode that someone who did NOT play rivals or Champs at all could play the 40 games through the week and still have a chance at earning something worth their time.
At the moment squad battles is very short. More people will be playing and most of those people will be playing on world class, legendary, and the ultimate difficulties. Someone who plays on professional or lower now stands no chance at catching up and getting the rewards they would've gotten in FC24 unless they push themselves.
This benefits EA because now those players who do not get rivals and Champs rewards will have to spend money for offline drafts and lost packs or just play their daily games and move on until next week.
From the perspective of someone who plays all the modes I can see how 12 would benefit you and take less time. But from the perspective of someone who does not play the online head to head modes they just had their only casual grind become another competition.
12 takes less time but makes things much sweatier. - 5 months ago
@lansenylYou are rewarded, you get 500+ coins per game and progress towards objectives.
And if someone only plays squad battles then the rewards are more than enough to build a solid gold team, then you have objective players too.
- 5 months ago@lansenil The most serious problem on pc is the use of hacking. When there were 32+2 games, no one wanted to use hacks to win games without playing them in person. Now with 12 games you see people who make the top 200 easily by distorting even the lower levels
Ps. sorry for using google translate - lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran@R1ckyDaMan19 Then why is it a problem if there are more than 12 games to earn the points?
@b24073 I understand what you're saying. Hackers and those that have a better understanding of manipulating the gameplay are the ones that benefit from this because it's no longer a waste of their time to do so. - 5 months ago@lansenil exactly
- RadioShaqs5 months agoHero@lansenyl Right more people are playing and now everyone is playing all 12 games. This means you can no longer out play people who didn’t have time for 40. I think everyone agrees in the old system better players got worse rewards.
I just disagree with saying casuals are not skilled and need to play 40. I’ve had a lot of real life commitments this year and have been super casual so 12 helps me. - lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran
Playing all the games was never a requirement and they still would not be. Play as many as you want and place as best as you can.
There is no logical reason behind lowering the amount of games to 12. If you have your own personal commitments then that's something for you to deal with and work around.
If you felt obligated to play all the matches ontop of completing all your online games then seek counseling for your addiction to the rewards and packs.
I'm sorry but you're doing nothing to convince me that this is a positive change.
- RadioShaqs5 months agoHero@lansenyl I never played that many is what I am saying. So as a casual player I got less rewards. This forced casuals into the store last year.
A casual player shouldn’t have to rearrange their life schedule simply to try to play a game.
I could see if you couldn’t play past 12 but you can. Just keep playing if you have more time than someone casual. - lansenyl5 months agoSeasoned Veteran@RadioShaqs No one was asking you to rearrange your life schedule to earn better rewards.
But now someone who manipulates, or mods the game online may be more inclined to invest their time in doing the same in squad battles because there are less games.
If the gameplay was better and the anti-cheat worked properly then maybe I would agree that less games is better but 12 is still quite short. - RadioShaqs5 months agoHero
@lansenylI think people cheat no matter how many games there is botting was probably even easier on lower difficulty last year.
If the gameplay is better then you would like less games? I would think the more you enjoy it the more you would play it.
