EA FC 25 Pre order discount

I'm trying to sort pre ordering EA FC 25 on my sons account, but we aren't getting the discount. Done chat and they worked out that EA FC 24 is linked to my email address, not my sons. However, this is incorrect. Last year we couldn't get the pre order discount on EA FC 24 even though we had Fifa 23 because the licence was on my account so we paid full price and ordered it on my sons account to ensure he got the rewards, therefore the licence should have moved over but obviously hasn't

Doesnt seem fair that we should have to pay full price again this year because the EA system has not updated correctly and I dont want to buy it on my account as he won't get the rewards and its his money so he should be getting them. Any thoughts or ideas on how to sort? Thanks.
