I love the customisation options we've been given + the revamp of the youth academy, FC 25 is bad but it's not worse than FIFA 20, not even close, FIFA 20 had #SaveCareerMode trending on Twitter for days; nevertheless FC 25 is bad because of these reasons:
- Boring gameplay, there's only one way to score (through balls) scoring from crosses/headers is practically impossible now.
- Referee logic is broken, yellow card challenges are instant Red Cards.
- Passing is genuinely awful, long passes are dead in the water, I used to love spraying long passes with my players on previous editions of the game, not anymore any lobbed pass is going out for a throw in.
- Shooting is okay but finesse shots outside the box and long shots are a thing of the past.
- Tackling is terrible.
- Goalkeepers are awful.
- Button delay is worse than ever before.
- Dribbling feels static, a far cry from FIFA 21, where dribbling with your best players felt smooth.
- Dribbling all round is just terrible even when I'm not sprinting my players will take the heaviest touches.
The gameplay feels soulless, it's awful.
Aside from all the issues you guys mentioned, there’s one point I find really annoying about the game: the new playstyles system. Honestly, I know some people think it’s good, but there’s a major problem—it gives players automatic assistance.
For example, if your opponent has defensive playstyles and you walk near them, you’ll notice how the game literally pushes their player toward yours, making it super easy for them to intercept the ball without any effort.
It’s just like aim assist in shooting games. Imagine you’re playing a shooting game, and the game automatically helps you aim straight at the enemy’s head for an easy headshot.
Same thing here. In my opinion, if the game was more manual, it’d be way more fun. We’d see real skills, dribbling, and defending because everything would depend on your actual abilities, not the game helping you out.
