Perhaps the servers are fine, but the USER experience is that they have constant gameplay issues. So clearly there is an issue. If it hardware or software related doesn't really matter. They need to fix it.
- lansenyl2 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Tauntmatt It really is something that baffles me. I spent years learning the ins and outs of this sport as a player that played multiple positions. I also spent my younger years gaming on COD and R6 as well as FIFA every single year, every damn day.
Playing FC25 during the trial really just broke my brain as I tried to comprehend what was happening on my screen. Instead of the game being about who can break down the others defense with skills, or quick accurate passes, it becomes a game based on which player is willing to abuse the mechanics and which one isn't.
Was this done on purpose by the developers or do they not realize that the community isn't willing to learn the sport or play proper football unless they're forced to? - Tauntmatt2 years agoSeasoned Veteran@lansenyl I think it's 2 things that have destroyed this game outside of the gameplay being horrible:
1. The pro scene/streamer scene, they find exploits/meta mechanics and promote it. Think last year with that 70 depth auto press tactic (I think it was 70 depth)
2. EA have conditioned us to not actually want to play the game but to constantly grind for objectives/rewards/evo's/sbc's. You see this in Rush where some people would rather rubber band to get their packs than actually play it. - lansenyl2 years agoSeasoned Veteran@Tauntmatt Most of the pros are worried about saying the wrong thing and ending up like Kurt. The content creators are a split group. Half of them are getting more and more frustrated and the other half are just accepting this is what the game is and we need to learn it.
EA are just turning this once great console series into a mobile game with pretty graphics and the majority of the community is blindly letting it happen. There is also input lag on PC, I literally can't dribble for my players and they run slower than the others
- Tauntmatt2 years agoSeasoned Veteran@lansenyl I get that but people emulate them. And when you broadcast your exploitative tactics to EVERYONE especially with how OP tactics can be/have been for the past few editions of this game your contributing to this game being a clown show.
Everytime I jump on Youtube to watch something, I get "NEW META TACTIC!" videos in my suggestions & some of those same people will then make a EAFC rant video complaining about the "meta". - menaceuk2 years agoSeasoned Traveler
I uninstalled it weeks a go.
Gameplay is so boring.
- Dribbling is bad.
- Finishing is bad.
- passing goes where ever it pleases.
- Pinball rebounds is shocking.
- Player switching is annoying a way to restrictive.
- Too defensively focused.
- CB Catch up is ludicrous.
Ultimate Team is unrewarding
Pack weights are just dumb.
Promos are boring (not that you can pack one regardless)
Had 3 patches and they fixed nothing that they claimed too.
My last EA Football game. They just get worse. EA's greed is too big. Had enough.

The game is particularly bad today, normally get a responsive game on pc outside peak times. Today it's worse than peak time. Is it a server issue or poorly coded game engine, likely both. Gameplay is low quality most of the time now, rather than just peak times. Really disappointing honestly. Would be a good idea to enable PC players to use old gen until engine and servers are optimized to deal with the number of processes in new gen.

It's the poorly optimized engine in addition to the servers, creating the delay imo. The delay isn't their on old gen console versions. Sometimes game play is good during off peak times, so it's definitely server related as well.
