The defending in this game is horrible.From ai defenders not defending midfielders standing still and not helping with anything it's impossible to not rage at. I set my fullbacks to defend yet ingame when their man is running they just sit back and watch ,its like having 9 men they're non existent in anything when the opponent has the ball . I don't see new gen players have this issue but it's so annoying on old gen . The main way I've always have been conceding is just balls over the top my defenders don't do anything and the other player scores . The midfielders do absolutely nothing but watch when the opponent has the ball at the edge of the box even if i have them on holding midfielder. I don't know what to do anymore because it's unplayable and I've tried everything to fix it but nothing is working.Hopefully ea fix this soon

@Finevessel Having the same problem mate, it is making me so bad!! It doesn't seem like something we can fix, unless i'm wrong. However watching your full back stand still whilst his player walks in for a free goal is driving me insane and tbh also making me hate the game.

If you use 4-2-3-1 formation with 2 cdms it’s manageable. But for me my left back still doesn’t do *

Yeah doubt the "amazing" EA team will fix anything this issue has been a part of previous games and it gets worse in every release, have to agree that this year is the worse yet, people have been asking for change with the mechanics for years, but lazy EA just make slight changes in a few codes and rename something so they can release it as a "NEW" game.EAFC 25 .Still have our Ai players doing nothing.Runs being blocked by opponent players on purpose.Passes and crosses are made worse than previous years, as 90% of the time they lock on to opponent players.Once an opponent player has passed your defence line, you have 0 chance of chasing them because your players will jog instead of sprint.Having to work extra hard to tackle an opponent player, while they just stick a foot out or barge into your players to win the ball back.opponent players will keep up with any of your players because your players are forced to slow down on the attacks.the whole sort of jogging mechanic / animation in this game, I'm pretty sure is added to hide the fact that yours players looked glitchy in previous games when the game forced them to slow down so the opponent Ai could catch up and come and tackle you.So if anyone has come across this and thought about getting the game..... Don't, if you want to try it go ask a friend to borrow theirs for a week or so firs. chances are after that week you will not want the game.

@feyenoord31 Your players will only track runners if they have + or ++ in a role meaning you have to play them in their specific role regardless of how you want your team to play completely rendering career mode pointless cos you’re having to play a certain formation and certain players in certain roles taking away all freedom and imagination we had on previous fifas where we were able to manipulate formations. The games gone backwards. Funnily enough this doesn’t happen on new gen where players track back and play where you put them. But the gameplay is terrible on new gen so kind of screwed either way. Hoping for a fix soon. Game came out in September. It’s now December and haven’t started one career yet because of all the different bugs that happen every time there’s an update. Guessing it will be exactly same as last year where the game only becomes playable 2 month before the new one gets released.

Ea won't fix this as they make no money from it.. there like Daniel levy only in it for the money.
Ea are the worse at fixing games yet people still give these divs money for some reason.
