EA really misread the room with EA FC 25. It chose to pander to the whims of pros and influencers, and has largely ignored the majority of its consumer base. That's usually not a sensible  avenue to go down from a commercial point of view. It may get away with it while there's no legitimate competitor on the market, but one day....
