Ultimate team Beta - can’t redeem item

Hi - I’ve got an item in my assigned but it’s impossible to redeem. I get a message saying ‘There was a problem connecting to the Football Ultimate Team servers. Please try again later’ when I try and redeem it. It’s preventing me from opening packs! Any advice?
