Update changed gameplay drastically?

Some say, the gameplay is slow and irresponsive, some, it's a super sonic arcade crap fest.

I guess it depends whether you're playing online or offline modes. Changing the slider settings, offline, makes the game play even more horrifically after a few games in career mode at least. Online, which I don't play anymore given the various issues past and present, people seem to have also encountered various issues.

All in all, never seen, a supposedly A tier game, play so inconsistently between each mode and platform with something as basic as settings not applying in offline mode - the gameplay is poor overall IMO and in many aspects it's beyond repair, EA know it and it seems they're hiding from assisting anyone here because of it.

When a developer has to release patch after patch to save a crumbling game you know they have messed up big time.

Your not the only one, this game is criminal asking people to pre order and fans buy the 100$ version for it to be this bad . My players look like they are jogging in place. 

I haven’t tried offline, but I have played squad battles and it feels the same. 

it can’t be a connection issue, surely! Players of high rating & have great playstyle plus can’t even pull of what there supposedly have increased accuracy (UT) mode, players are static they don’t move or there running away from the attacker (me) regardless of position it’s like they have a second or two delay before they realise what is going on. 

Defending is awful! You track the attacking team make a perfect tackle for it only to pinball around and magically find its way back into the attacker after defending perfectly (if you can call it that) and them be in on goal even though it clearly put it there for them, - might aswell picked it up put it at there feet. 

gameplay is just heavy.  
I’d understand if say it was 65min gameplay time and everyone’s knackered and heavy I’d have no issue. 
but from minute one my players just feel weak & unable to do basic commands. 

mind boggling and makes you not want to play the game anymore. 

sigh just want to play a fun game of fifa. 

I live in the Czech Republic, before the patch I had one of the best gameplay in 3 years of playing this game, I even started to like playing it)I think, God, well, finally in 3 years they finally fixed something and I can play and enjoy, but my joy was not long))After the patch it's again a game of hockey in the swamp, thanks to ea for giving me the opportunity to play normally for a couple of weeks) I hate you, ea sports)

I'll add my voice to this concern and offer up details in the hopes EA reads these threads with tangible thoughts.

NOTE: All observations below are from Squad Battles (Legendary difficulty) and Rush.

1.) Goalkeepers (Squad Battles)

Parry Capability - You nerfed their saving capability.  My 93 rated Casillas not 'delicately' and barely parries the ball past the post instead of the consistently decent strength parries that were pushed further out towards the corner.

Reaction times - Also nerfed.  My 93 rated Casillas has the reaction time of an AI goalie on Beginner level.

2.) Long shots outside the box (Squad Battles)

Frequency - I'm okay with the increased frequency of the AI shots from distance

Accuracy - This setting is jacked up and creates imbalance.  It feels like 8/10 attempts go in.  That's a tad excessive and a drastic change from the previous balanced update.

3.) Player reaction time (Squad Battles, Rush)

Skill moves - As many have pointed out, it feels like the reaction timing has been slowed down with such a delay that the players feel 'heavy' or trudging through molasses.  This degrades the gameplay experience over the previously balanced update.

In other cases, quick skill move execution does not register at all.  There are videos already published by other players that show this (Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooUGLd6vzmA)

4.) Overall gameplay (Squad Battles, Rush, Rivals)

EA - you've slowed the game down considerably for no reason.  You had it about right with the previous update.  The community's reaction to slowing the game down to this state is fairly unanimous - we don't like it and you've regressed the experience when updates are aimed at progression and improving it.

Wow this is exactly what happened to me. I had the best gameplay I've experienced on fifa in the past 2 weeks, but I logged on yesterday and it's back to the usual horrid gameplay I had prior. AI never move, if they do, it's to attach themselves to an opposition player and do nothing. They don't make runs and move like they're in mud. My players slow down or stop moving entirely at random, even when I'm holding the sprint button. I don't get it, how does that just change at will. I was happy about the experience I was having, only for them to take it away. Have you been able to figure this out on your end?Cheers. 

The servers are just dog**bleep** and EA are incompetent, lazy, or just want the game to be frustrating to make people buy packs. There is no other explanation that fits. For me, games vary drastically game to game. One game I can ping passes around like no business, the next the same passes just don't go anywhere near I want.

I suggest not spending much time on these forums. They are dead & EA employees do not reply. No one cares anymore.
