I've been playing FIFA since '96 now that I'm 36, I can say this is the worst football game I've ever played. There's nothing related to football, it's complete chaos and a reckless street match. The ball changes sides every 2 seconds, as if it's not 11 vs 11 but 20 vs 20. There's no space on the field, the players are like conjoined twins, constantly tackling—count the seconds, there's a tackle every 2 seconds. It's like a ping-pong match, going back and forth. That's why you're forced to constantly do tiki-taka, and the game feels like a 100-man street fight. The biggest innovation in the trailer was supposed to be custom tactics, but it's a complete lie. There’s nothing new or different in terms of tactics. The graphics shocked me too—day matches, which were my favorite for years, now have such a terrible and artificial lighting that it looks like a mobile game. Except for ultra-close-ups, the grass has no texture, it looks like paper. I've been a FIFA fan for years, but I've never trashed a FIFA game this much in my life. I only bought it for Pro Club because of my friends, but every penny I spent feels wasted

I whole heartedly agree 100%. How is it possible to make the game worst but year on year they manage to ruin the beautiful game. It’s clear that these developers don’t have a clue about football. They must be soccer fans clearly. It pisses me off wasting my money each year. I told myself I’m not going to buy it but then I break my promise. Which each year I regret with all my heart and hard earn money. I just hope the other football games run off the pitch. When I play this game it drains the life out of me. It feels t like a task that nobody wants to do. I’ve said from time to time if ea wants a better product they need better people involved in the gaming process. You can’t feed people sh!t and tell them it’s shrimp. I’ll come back for the 100 patch it should be fixed by then. In closing ea do better you have been letting customers down for at least 8 years now.

As if I'm reading my own review.. I'm a FIFA player since the '98 version, mainly online seasons. I used to love this game. Often when i looked at live football, I recognized certain situations from the game. Or looked for moves in real football that I could use in my own gameplay. I don't have this for years anymore. All I can think of when I'm playing EA FC is: this is stupid/ridiculous. It doesn't look like football at all anymore. It's like hornets swarming over your screen instead of watching footballl. The only thing you need in this game is speed. Good players with high rankings are useless as long as they can't run, and skills are overrated. I usually play Man City, so most of my games are against Real Madrid, since that's what most players choose to play with (or just bad match fixing). I wonder if the makers of this game ever watch real football, like the double confrontation in the Champions League for instance. Where Man City totally dominated Real, crushing them like a fly (Real won in the end because of one fast counter attack, but that is not my point). Never ever did I experience something like that in the game, no matter how many games I played. Most of the time I'm running behind Real players who are twice as fast as mine, or when I have the ball, lose it immediately because of the stupid, unreal pressure system in this game. It's just impossible to play like the real City in EA FC. Meanwhile you read all these nice promises of 'How even more realistic' the new version will be. Let me tell you there is NOTHING realistic on a Courtois outrunning a Foden in a sprinting duel for the ball. Or how easy Carvahal pushes away Haaland in this game. The whole game is just one endless drag of frustrations caused by buttons that don't work, passes going wrong, players that pass, run or score through defenders, etc. Potentially good games are sabotaged by inconsistent working EA servers and bugs in the system. For a whole year I'm reading the same experiences all over the internet as described above and from what i read about the new EA 25, it is still exactly the same. EA did jack [removed] about any of the problems in connectivity, gameplay or overall functionalities of the game. But hey, at least Cristiano Ronaldo looks a little more like the real one in the new EA FC, and that is in the end the reason why we buy this game for, no?! (Cm Edit removed language)

You're right the game has turned into a children's arcade, which does not look like football , soon they will add Captain America and Marvel Super Heroes to the game ))

The game was really bad last year.There was no real defending.The Dribbling and pace/skill moves abuse was extremely unacceptable on F24.Now it is worse...Yes we know that EA is making tons of money by Ultimate Team but do you really have to turn this game into an arcade machine?It makes no difference to add numerous animation to the game every year.This is nothing near a football simulation and we just have to play how the game desires,what the game desires.Gameplay is like a circus ,defenders are like crash test dummies and attacking players can make the hardest skill moves one after another 5 times in a row.It is nearly impossible to complete a match fewer than 3-4 goals total.I am winning the matches but I dont enjoy anymore.There is no feel of struggle or physical battle on the pitch.Even the best defenders are like loaded trucks and they are unable to react to the slightest moves of attackers.Football is a game of physical battle .There is no match in the world like Vinicius or Rodrygo dribbles by all the opponents by making skill moves one after another constantly.The game must be so much heavier on defending and scoring must be harder.There must be tactical war .Skill moves and dribbling should be reduced to abuse.Shortly this is not a football game.

They say there is no script, but 100% there is something dodgy going on, run, pass, and shot randomly change during the match. Maybe they are intentionally slide under the scene. The gameplay cannot be so AI heavy and players cannot change pace during the game so drastically. I play full manual but Ea randomly changes my player without clicking anything, I run on the side with Rafa (one of the quickest in the game) and a defender with 75 speed catches me with double speed. People with terrible defending take my ball from behind, cutting my player's leg in half with no fault given.Trust me, guys, something dodgy is going on with this game, and they know it. Don't get fouled by PC specs, hardware updates, or connection issues; the game is the real problem.

The pack weights on promo's have been diabolical, Champs rewards have been worthless, the gameplay is pure filth on every level there is so many issues with the basic gameplay it's just beyond the joke, Evo's become redundant very quickly, people don't even want to play this junk there in it just to Evo up cards or do some objective for some packs so they rubber band games.

This is the worst state I've ever seen a Fifa or FC since I've started playing during Fifa 13. The games a corpse 4 weeks into it.

From What I gather a major company is about to enter the football market & really compete with them. If that company does the basics right and captures the essence of football, there in serious trouble. This new company will be building a brand new game from the ground up & unless EA follow suit I can't see how they don't begin losing players. They have ignored and exploited there own fan base out of complacency & this mentality that we the players have nowhere else to go, it's good short term perhaps but it's a bad long term strategy.

@brebike This is unacceptable, supposed to be a video game where people have fun, but I see people taking the ball and wasting time for 80 minutes, fortunately, sometimes the script is in my favor, and I won the match because he quit after his Rodri can't make a 3-meter pass. I work in a casino I can feel how desperate some people have become to play this garbage game.
