Auto selected wrong player in evolution!

I am having an issue as yesterday I was looking at possible evolutions on my consol for the rapid + shapeshifter evo and without even selecting anyone it glitched out and disappeared. Then I logged on later to see that it had auto selected a player (Lukaku TOTS) to be in the evolution. This is not who I want in that evolution and after grinding for that particular evo, as it's one of the best in the game, I would hate to lose it on a player I would never use! Been told there is no solution or way of compensation? Is anyone else having a similar issue?
