Cant play online with friends

Having a issue joining friends lobby. I can join their group, but when we go to play any mode, it doesn't show my in their lobby. Also depending on what match type I might get a error message "Unable to join or invite player. This players platform is not compatible with your platform. I also can't open a ticket with EA. It doesnt give me a option anywhere on their help site.
