cant play with my friend

my friend is on ps5 im on pc we both have cross platform enabled. but i cant see him on my friends list and when he invites me his name is blurred out and i cant join his party and it says hes offline and it says hes on pc when hes not we double checked cross platform and privacy settings and nothing seems to work
