Controls aren't working on Xbox

Looking for help I don't know why but it won't let me run in the game my players just move around the ball and hold off the opposition players I've tried resetting all the setting in the main menu and ultimate team menu but when I'm in game it says I've got expert or professional control but won't let me change it anyone help please
