EA FC 25 Disconnections with Deco X20
EAFC 25 Disconnections with Deco X20 Mesh
I am experiencing consistent disconnections in EAFC 25 while using a TP-Link Deco X20 mesh Wi-Fi system. The disconnections occur at two specific points:
- Just as the game is about to show both teams on the pitch before kickoff.
- Immediately after kickoff.
These disconnections happen despite no apparent loss of connection to the EA servers. I am kicked out of the match and receive a "DNF" (Did Not Finish) result, which is increasing my DNF multiplier even though the games are not reaching the point of starting properly. This is incredibly frustrating.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
I am a network engineer and have extensive experience troubleshooting network issues. I have already tried various solutions, including:
- Different DNS settings (Google DNS, Cloudflare DNS)
- Setting the Deco X20 in both Router mode and Access Point (AP) mode
- Checking for and installing the latest firmware updates on the Deco X20
- PC is already connected to the Deco via Ethernet
- Disabling and enabling QoS and Fast Roaming on the Deco X20 even though neither should cause any issues.
- There is 1 device on the entire network to test in isolation, no difference.
- Connection history on all games has been exactly the same, all listed as good with no issues with packet loss.
Request for Assistance:
Despite my efforts, I have been unable to pinpoint the root cause of these disconnections. I have seen other players reporting similar issues with the Deco X20, suggesting a potential compatibility problem between EAFC 25 and this mesh Wi-Fi system.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide. I am open to trying any further troubleshooting steps or providing any additional information that may help resolve this issue.
