EA FC 25 Extreme Lagging (PC)

whenever I start an online game, my connection is great for about 30 seconds, and then it just lags horribly for the rest of the game. It is a solid 1-2 second delay. Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone know how to fix this? I've played all other Ea FC games in the past and never had this issue.
