Eafc25 PlayStation tournament

I’ve been playing a eafc tournament and I made it all the way to the finals just for me to load into the last game and the other player not joining. Instead of it making him forfeit at the end of the time limit for him to join it instead kept me on that screen and eventually said we lost connection with your opponent. Because he didn’t join and effectively forfeited I thought I would get the rewards but I check and it said I placed second? Even though he was the one who didn’t join. If anyone can help me get the rewards onto my account or can help in any way please let me know.
