Editing teams offline

I am trying to move players from teams using clubs transfer and for some reason the game either crashes or won't let me edit the team sheets after they move. 

For example I moved Jude Bellingham to man city and it won't allow me to put him in the squad to play as him. It has happened every time I try to move players around. 

The club transfer feature needs looking into as I never had this problem in any other game in the franchise
