FC 25 Sliders not working

After the latest update, the sliders are not working and the AI gameplay remains at default values.

  • Tried changing the settings at the main menu, and career mode main menu
  • Tried editing values while playing a match
  • Tried uninstalling and reinstalling

Nothing works. This is getting frustrating.

Please let me know if there has been any fix to this.

Slider adjustment settings are definately glitched now for Manager Career mode, unsure if applies to other game modes though. For gameplay and CPU behavior sliders, the configuration in the main game settings has to match exactly the sliders in career mode settings. First select your adjustments in the main game menu, then when starting a new career mode save, duplicate in the pre-career mode setup screens, not afterwards when already in the save. The gameplay sliders generally save, however, the CPU behavior settings reset in the main game menu. Back out of the career mode and reconfigure the behavior settings in the main game menu, then go back into career mode, and do the same. At this point, all four setting regions should be saved; both in career mode, and in the main game. Recheck the sliders before the first match in career mode through the pre-match menu in the same screen used for kit seletion. Usually, everything remains saved, and no final changes are required. On a side note, have noticed that when playing after the changes; Manager Career for a period, then switching to Kick Off, save corruptions often occur, meaning that the aforementioned steps will have to be redone. If you only play career mode, settings will be saved, even after turning off console or PC, and reentering on a different day.

  • @CinKid73 I see. Thank you very much for sharing this. I will try it out.
So if I have an existing career mode, would this work:
    - Reboot the game

    - Change the sliders in the main menu

    - Play a kick off game to test

    - Load the existing career save and change the sliders to the exact values

I hope it works because I'm long way in my career mode and would hate to restart it.

Believe one of the issues causing the problem is switching game modes, for example playing Manager Career mode, then Kick Off, or Player Career. As mentioned before, never play online matches, or even connected to EA servers, unsure on the effect of those modes. Because of the numerous Title Update releases, often requiring a career mode restart to apply changes, and I do not care about preserving Profile statistics (matches played, winning percentage, etc.), what I do is go to the Profile tab in main game menu, delete all files (squad update, settings, career mode saves, and DLC), then restart the game. This will reset back to initial download when game was purchased. Upon restart, the majority of settings stored in the cloud will apply, leaving only camera and slider settings at their default (go though all settings to verify, may be outliers from your preferences, although rare). Next, set the sliders in the main menu, then download the latest squad update (just click on 'New Manager Career'). Exit the game to console dashboard and restart, this time cancel the 'Connecting to EA Servers', then start a new career mode save. Adjust sliders in the career mode setup screens, before advancing to the first day of the career, and after saving, exit to the main menu and redo the CPU behavior sliders for the second time to match the career mode CPU Behavior sliders (gameplay sliders should remain unchanged).

For now, you can attempt what you mentioned in your post, however, skip the Kick Off test, just recheck sliders in the pre-match menu, before starting your next match. There is rumored to be a large Title Update release this Thursday (10/31) and squad update in the afternoon, comprising Portman Road stadium, a number of third kits, updated Saudi kits, and addition of new face scans. Perhaps on Friday, you could perform the partial clean install mentioned earlier in this post for the best results. Only need to delete the files, not unistall and reinstall the game. Need to restart a career mode anyway for some kits, face scans, and updated player ratings to apply; do not remember if added stadiums apply to ongoing career mode saves or not.

  • Switching game modes doesnt matter.

Does just  switching the sliders before every game doesnt matter.

I have played with some wild sliders to see if there is any change like 99 and 1 and there is no change.  Its the same game.

The update broke the sliders completely.  This game is useless.
