Game crashing at half time in Career Mode

Question

I currently have just under 80 hours on FC25 (mostly spent on career mode) and it was totally fine at the start. After about a week a very small number of european competition games (like the UCL, europa league etc) would occasionally crash at half time. I would click resume after half time and it would be a black screen and wouldn't do anything. This forces me to turn off the game and re-enter it, making the match restart and whatever progress I hadn't saved disappear. It has now become a very recurrent problem (once in every 2-3 games the glitch will happen, even in league and domestic cup games) and it's causing me to just not play FC25 as it's really annoying and stupid. Has anyone found any ways to combat this? Or has it already been reported to the EA team (perhaps they are working on fixing it?)

Just experienced the crash for the first time in EA FC 25 moments ago. Playing Manager Career mode on Xbox Series X/S, everything normal for four straight matches, then in the eighty-seventh minute as user striker hit a winning shot, game animations slowed, then froze, and finally the game exited back to the console dashboard. This scenario has happened for years in Madden, EA College Football 25, both EA FC title releases, and presumably NHL, however, have never played hockey. What is strange, the crashing instances only occur during EA games; have played numerous other branded games, and has never happened with them, even after ten hours. For reference, here is a posting in the EA College Football 25 forum, where this issue has been prevalent, since the release of the game on July 15th, with no assistance from developers to remedy the problem, other than suggest cleaning the console, replacing the HDMI cable, etc. The issue is spread evenly between both online and offline game modes, and across both console brands (EA College Football 25 not available on PC).

That's so annoying. I remember it happening on FC24 but it never occurred for me more than maybe once every few in-game seasons.&nbsp;

I have the same issue since the beginning...

I started to optimalize game by geforce experience and i thought it helped a little bit, beacuse this problem occurred less frequently, but since yesterday i have it again in every game! Black screen under in-match menu instead off after game cut-scene and when i try to resume - game is frozen. Unplayable product at this moment..

Yeah, unplayable but totally payable. Which I and all of you did!

My experience is half time menu and when I press "begin second half" the game just freezes in a black screen and after a few seconds i have a stable view of the left penalty box.

I think everyone has their own personal hell 🙂
