Hey there, I'm a gamer just like you, only I'm a volunteer.
I've had this problem before and I had to speak with live chat about this.
One problem could be that too many servers were being used at once and then resulting in the game server disconnecting altogether forcing a restart of the console.
I recommended that I should be awarded the 3 points but the live chat stated that it wasn't possible to permit the victory. Really annoying to hear however I recommended to change my Internet connection ie from wireless to wired. Unfortunately I'm unable to access your gaming account as I'm only a volunteer to ea sports forum ... perhaps it's worth google your question and start your own research, though you could try calling ea sports or live chat option available on here.
