I won my 3 pre seasons matches and didn't avance to the next phase

I just started playing fc25 manager mode. First of all I hate all the new menú (the last game I played was 22) and so many options, it's ridiculous (why would I want now to sign trainers for every position and other nonsense like that)

But my issue this time, it's that I just won my 3 pre season matches and even with the 3 victories I didn't make it to the semi finals. A message from the bosses telling me "we're sorry you didn't make it to the finals but at least... Some  bulls* like that"

Has anyone had this problem? 

Ps: I probably would come back to play fifa 22 and forget all this nonsense
