Keyboard and mouse prioritised/controller inputs dont work in online modes

Question

I recently got eafc25 and been playing about a week and when i play modes like rivals or rush my keyboard and mouse inputs are the sole input or i have both keyboard and mouse and controller inputs on 2 players and i cant swap the priorities in online modes and i dont know how to make it so the game will prioritise my controller inputs and use them over kbm. Are there any short or permanent fix to this?

Here's what I do: When the game starts and I select my profile at the beginning, I confirm the correct profile with the controller. I have no problems with this. However, I also use the controller to navigate the menu etc.

When I press a button on the keyboard, all button suggestions are also displayed from the keyboard. If I then press a button on the controller, I have the controller view. Both inputs are active at the same time, it seems.
