low fps
Hello everyone, so I've been getting really bad performance on this game series ever since it changed the name from FIFA to EAFC. I know it sounds a bit irrelevant but I have been suffering from terrible performance for 2 years now and I haven't found a solution. Looked everywhere, tons of YouTube and Reddit tutorials but no luck. Here I will try to describle my problem as detailed as possible so you guys get a better idea. Thanks in advance, any tips would be appreciated. If there's anything you need to know to better diagnose the problem please let me know.
My Specs
GPU: RX 6700XT, CPU: Ryzen 5 3600, RAM: 16GB. I have 2 monitors connected, one of them being 1440p (HDMI) and the other one is 4K (DP). I play EAFC on the 1440p monitor.
My In-game Settings (As of Now)
Resolution: 1440p
Display Mode: Fullscreen
Refresh Rate: It's greyed out and locked at 60Hz
Vertical Sync: Off
Dynamic Resolution Scale: Off
Cutscene Quality: Full Frame Rate
Strand Based Hair: Auto
Rendering Quality: Auto
Grass Quality: Auto
Crowd Quality: Auto
Cloth Quality: Auto
Ambient Occlusion Quality: Low
Motion Blur: Off
My Problem
Constant lagging and stuttering during gameplay. At 1080p and at 1440p the framerate stays the same at around 80fps and drops to around 75fps when I make a long pass and the camera moves. I don't know if that FPS number is normal? Either way, the number looked okay (I guess) but it stutters and lags so badly, and I'm feeling like I'm on 30-ish fps.
Some other things that might be helpful
I noticed is that when I play AAA games under the exact same settings, the framerate is higher on the 1440p monitor. As of right now, I pretty much only use the 4K monitor for streaming.
I did get it to work perfectly fine one time, when I switched between different performance presets in AMD Adrenalin. I was simply clicking Performance, then Quality, then Performance, then I ran the game. I noticed that, at the pre-match settings where you can see two players standing, the hair of the players are flickering. When I entered the game it was silky smooth. 100+ FPS constantly with no FPS drops. Long passes that make the camera move won't be a problem at all. Then the day after I tried the same method nothing happened. No flickering on the player's hair and laggy, stuttering gameplay.
Things I tried that did not solve the issue
Set every in-game graphics settings to auto
Set every in-game graphics settings to low
Disable and Enable Vertical Sync
Play with different AMD Adrenalin presets
Update GPU Driver
Play at 1080p helps a bit, the camera movement due to long passes appears to be smoother
