Matchmaking time and Ping increase issue

Before today I was able to find a game pretty much as soon as I looked for one and I would get between 16-24ms ping.
Today it is taking around a minute to search for a match and I am getting 36-60ms ping.
I am on full fibre with 580 Mbps download and my connection is stable, I get 20ms ping when I do speed checks (this is the same as normal for me).
Has something happened that is stopping me from connecting to my closest game data center or is there another problem that could be affecting me? I'm sure nothing has changed at my end and every other game I have runs normally with normal ping.
