[PC] Player input freezing every game

Welp, driver update some way or another worked for a whole 2 matches, then went back to unplayable.
Now, after extensive observation and tedious testing and tweaking, I can say for certain that:
-it is not HW issue (obviously, as it's happening to too many people and on consoles as well)
-it is not graphics driver issue (same reason as above)
-it is not settings issue (tweaked literally everything possible, made no difference)
-it is not network issue (tried playing in offline mode and even completely disconnecting, no difference)
However, during my testing I came across something quite interesting that might help uncovering the cause: my GPU (RTX4080) sits at an average of 2% and tops out at a whole 4% usage during gameplay, even at max settings with RTX on.
This is extremely unusual as even the lowest demanding games take it to at least 15%. It's as if it is not being used by the game at all.
Whatever it is, the cause is most certainly within the game code and requires a patch, there's nothing anyone of us here can do to help each other.
@6J6W6 Try my fix and do everything as mentioned,Laso update windows to 24H2 and nvidia driver latest manually from their website,And don't install that geforce experience,Only Nvidia control panel is okay
Did all that (except updating Windows, for some reason MS thinks my PC is not suitable for Win11), no difference.
And this issue requires a fix, not a sloppy workaround like running the game on minimum settings, thanks.
No more trying to fix input lag and play like that. F this game, F EA. Developer of crooked F. Support is silent, there are 7000 topics on the forums, but they don’t care. Trello does not indicate these problems; do the developers even test the game before its release? I'm done
Please don't make me doubt your intelligence. We all know this has nothing to do with your computer or your ISP.
This is an intentional mechanics that EA has put in the game since older FIFA(19 and before) to make sure people with no skill but with big wallets can compete with everyone.This is the way online games are moving on, less skill more pay-to-win.

If you press a button and the game doesn't follow your input is not the computer the problem, is the game the problem.
A lot of games have lag, but this is not lag, is avoiding your input on purpose.
Imagine having a player with a 94-96 pace and getting outclassed in speed by a player with a 75 pace. How many times you start the match and your player starts the game fast but at some point, they drop in attribute without reason and they cannot stop the ball, cant shoot-pass, if you try to clear the ball away and you press the cross full bar he will give the ball to the opponent player 1 meter from you.
Please stop posting solutions because there is no solution and will never be, be a smart community.
Hi guys, I find a solution thats work at least for me way better than the other , now I’m able to play at 90 fps without fps drop, ok there are sometimes micro lag but not like before.
the guy say to set max fps on nvidia control panel at 90 , and I ve tried with 120 and 144 and it’s works too.

@Kyler7 It's absolutely ridiculous. I've played six matches this morning. The switching worked fine in the first one which I won, then in the next 5 it didn't work properly. I was switching between players and it was taking a couple of seconds longer to switch, resulting in either my player not making a run and my opponent getting to the ball before my player or my player not being able to close down an attacker. I ended up losing all 5 of those matches. I might have lost a couple of them anyway but I'd rather lose because I wasn't as good as my opponent than lose because EA have made a game for the PC that is totally unplayable on it. FC24 the switching works fine, I had no issues with that at all.
- @MikeBru2102 it’s annoying like I had the 2 controller inputs up in my screen and the delay was terrible between the 2 was taken at leat 3 to 5 seconds for it to respond I can play rivals no problem it’s just rush and clubs seems to be the game modes were I’m only controlling my own player which it seems to be delayed and freezing on
@Kyler7 I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1IIe51pN1I this morning and followed most of it (I didn't download his pack). After going through it this morning I played a few more games and no input lag at all. In fact FC25 was running better than FC24 ever did. I put the Nvidia overlay on and my fps shot right up, my players have never moved so fast. I thought my fps was fine until I made some little tweaks. It was averaging 80-90 prior to that and this was over 100. I still lost a couple of games because I'm below average but I found it was a lot more fun.
Obviously this doesn't explain the input lag people on consoles have been getting.
- @MikeBru2102 I’m not on pc I’m on PlayStation 5 i tried to change the settings on PlayStation but nothing worked all my mates have the same settings as me and their game works fine just seems to be mine thanks for the video @MikeBru2102 I appreciate the help hopefully ea get it fixed it’s pretty annoying cause can’t get a good game played on it if it doesn’t get fixed il probably end up playing the new cod when it comes out anyway
@Kyler7 I know the feeling, yesterday was so frustrating I was on a 13 game losing streak, the switch wasn't working and I was getting so frustrated at not being able to close down an attacker or get a player to make a run. I even messaged EA about it today and he said he'll pass it on to the relevant department. The guy said that there will be more updates to fix certain things. I said its not very good business practice releasing an unfinished game and taking people's money on preorders knowing the game isn't fit for purpose.
Guys i still have input lag, controller and gameplay.. if i try to tackle someone, i miss the next person cause of this input lag delay… is very frustating cause im in div elite and i couldnt play as well..
why support dont help us? This forum question is on the 13th page and still none is coming to help us
I have this issue on Ps5.
Absolutely driving me insane. As of today im refusing to play until this is fixed.
Say im litterally sprinting forward on the attack (im RW) and then we get tackled, so as normal you stop sprinting to turn round and defend etc..
i lose all control of my my player he will just keep running for say 1-3 seconds before i regain control.
This happens all match on every single match i play.
I only play Clubs mode and this happens in all match modes across clubs.
Ive changed all the settings that im seeing across google/youtube etc and nothings fixing it.
Also my main controller is a DuelSense Edge, so i tried standard controllers and all the same.
All controllers are up to date as in the PS itself.
My cousins who lives in the same house as me and game shares from me, using the same internet (he is actually on wifi and i am hardwired to the LAN) and he hasnt got thie issue.
And as people have mentioend, it not even so much as an input lag.. its more like a complete input loss alltogether. When you do have control everythings fine. its really stupid.

- @EllisPrd11 just discovered that if i revert the controls back to classic (as im using customs controls) then i dont get the issue.
hmm? - @EllisPrd11 Happens to me on PlayStation I thought it was my controller at the start but I have 3 tried them and still had the same issue my friends haven’t got this issue with their game only seemed to be me it needs fixed soon as possible
- @Kyler7 Kyle, its to do with customs controls. Well it is on mine anyway because if i change back to classic its completely fine.
Lucky for me i have a DuelSense Edge so What i have done for now is created a profile and changed the buttons on that. (for those who dont know you can change the buttong config on ps itself and save it as a profile and easily switch between profiles during gameplay)
its bulls**t that ive had to do this but it works for me at the moment.
Also why have they completely changed the in game tactics menus? As in ball press and offside trap etc...
like there was just no need. And youve removed the little dance you could do with the right d-pad arrow. This has really upset me.
FC YOUR GAME IS POO. SORT IT OUT MAN!! BRAKING THINGS THAT ARNT BROKEN AND WELL FIXING NOTHING THAT IS BROKEN .. LOL ... The problems are just embedded into the game engine. Frostbite is the issue and has been since fifa 17

- @Kyler7 They have already put out a patch that fixes some of theses issues. While it might not of fixed everything I don’t think they are ignoring it. Keep reporting it so they have more info to go on.
well i must say well done FC, you seem to have fixed it for me! still some small occasions but its 95% been fixed for me.

I liked pulling off that dance to at the start of clubs match.
At least you can do quick tactics. I'm on PC and from early access day 1 I haven't even seen the quick tactics menu. Can't do anything. No team press. No attacking fullback. No offside trap. No team mentality (ultra defensive to ultra attacking). Call for 2nd defender works (RB) but my player is uncontrollable until I release RB.
It's very frustrating because when I play as captain in clubs I use the quick tactics a lot and I have never had this problem with previous FC/ Fifa games.

i change the percentage i said earlier about how fixed this is.. for me anyway...
its happening abit more than i thought but its definately not as bad.
it seems say 60% better than it did yesterday.
true.the prove is that old version of fc is not soo messy and bugged. Less animations and less bug.
