Problem with EA FC 25 Anticheat

So I bought the game off steam, and it opened up just fine, but after a couple minutes it crashed, telling me the anticheat had detected an "unacceptable configuration". Now I knew that I didn't have any cheat software running, and after restarting the game a few times with the same result, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, to no success. Some quick google searches told me how to uninstall and reinstall the anticheat, also to no success. Further research told me to try a clean boot, which I did, and after going in sysconfig and messing around with the Services tab for a few hours I found that if I disable the program "AMD External Events Utility" and have everything else enabled, the game runs just fine. I looked up what exactly "AMD External Events Utility" is, and it seems to be a program that helps my gpu run smoother. I am mostly just wondering if there is another way around my problem as I dont really want to disable part of my gpu, but if anyone has some insight into if I even actually need the program, that would be nice too.

Also, just as a general note, and I'm sure EA has gotten enough of this already, but FIFA/EA FC on the pc, specifically steam, is really bad. Not only have I had issues getting the game to even start for each of the past 4 years, it also is prone to lagging out and just loading slowly, even though my pc is plenty powerful enough to run the games well.

TLDR - the program "AMD External Events Utility" is triggering the anticheat for EA FC 25 and I want to know if there is another way around this besides disabling the program, and do I even need the program in the first place. Thanks!

  • how do i do this. i have done all i can and i cant play for more then a few mins with out it doing the anticheat BS

  • you gotta do a cleam boot and basically go through all the programs to find which one is causing the problem. it could be a different program for you or the same one. just go online and microsoft has a guide for how to do it its pretty simple just tedious bc you gotta restart your pc every time you change which programs you activate in the clean boot menu and then try and run the game to see if it works and then when it inevitably doesnt do it all again a bunch of times until you find the program or programs causing the issue. I'd reccomend initally deactivating all of them just to make sure its not something else and then do half of whats left and just keep doing halves of how ever many you have left so you dont have to do each one individually - if youre confused this might make more sense once you look up how to do a clean boot
