PS5 Parental controls not allowing career mode

I purchased EAFC 25 for my son's 11th birthday. He loves it on the Switch, so I got it for the PS5 too. Problem is, he can't access career mode or updated teams, etc. due to parental controls on the PS5. 

I don't understand why the parental controls would stop this, particularly if the Nintendo parental controls don't have a problem with it. Is there any way around it (other than deleting all parental controls, which is ridiculous)?
